| Group Major Medical Group Major Medical is designed for employers who have as few as two full-time employees (listed on their quarterly tax and earnings statement) and may want to offer their employees a benefit plan. A percentage of premium is paid by the employer with the remaining percentage paid (through payroll pre-tax deduction) by the employee. Most employers will offer, at the minimum, medical coverage under an HMO (Health Management Organization) or PPO (Preferred Provider Organization) plan. Many Employers also provide provide a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) plans to help their employees contain health costs. Dental, Vision, Short Term and Long Term (Disability) care are also sometimes offered.
